کمپین هنرمندان سوئدی برای کمک به رفع ممنوع الخروجی مریم مقدم
Since February this year, the Swedish-Iranian actress Maryam Moghaddam is stuck in Iran. She is not allowed to work and is forbidden to leave the country. Her only crime is that she has practiced her profession.
In February she appeared in Jafar Panahi's film, Closed curtain at the Berlin Film Festival. Maryam Moghaddam plays one of the lead roles in the film, recorded secretly in Iran since Panahi was sentenced to prison and work bans for his support to the Iranian opposition.
When Maryam Moghaddam returned from Berlin to Iran to visit her mother, she was arrested at the airport. The trial had already taken place in Maryam's absence, and she had no opportunity to defend herself.
Maryam Moghaddam is a Swedish citizen and we can never accept that a colleague deprived of her freedom of speech and freedom of movement.
We who sign this petition require that the Iranian regime ceases to violate Maryam Moghaddams human rights.
